Me on phone with probationer: "So, you want a travel permit to go where?"

Smitty: "A race for four-wheelers. Sounds fun, huh?"

Me: "um...sure, so I will have this ready for you to pick up tomorrow."

Smitty: "Okay, great! Thanks, Hon."

Me: "Did you just call me Hon?"

Smitty: "Uh, yeah, sorry. Really sorry about that."

We had such a perfect time at the show and on our trip and I have to say I now have a new favorite present so far in this lifetime. Cincinnati is a great city with weird chili, and we discovered Kentucky, interestingly, has a really cool movie complex. Abel did beautifully at my parent's house and is exhausted. I hate when really good vacations end, but it does make it easier when you have an Abel to come home to.

We are hitting the road in search of my Christmas present! Scott got tickets to this rocking show in the illustrious city of Cinci. Today we are going to see Santa at my work then it's off to Buffalo for the night before heading out. Abel will be spending his first overnight without us at g-ma and pop-pop's house. I am sure he will just tell us to "rock on!"

It was the first morning I had to brush off the car. My first thought as I was brushing - "When will it be warm enough to not have to do this?" But the snow was pretty and refreshing. Abel and I had fun playing in it this afternoon and he made his first snow angel! I can't believe how long we used to stay outside in the winter when my sisters and I were little. I don't even remember getting cold. The only indication there was that it was time to go in was when my mom yelled, "dinner!" I do remember the tingling feeling in your skin like it was fighting off frostbite, once you get back on the couch. I had some of that this afternoon.

Oh, and I haven't started painting yet!
