Magnificent

The magnolia trees all along Oxford Street bust with perfect new flowers for about three days every year. After that time they start to brown and float to the ground. Today is the first day of perfection, so hurry.

You can make some interesting translucent brown paper with the petals too. It has an interesting texture, it kind of looks like dragonfly wings (you can get a similar effect with onions too, but not brown).

We have some lovely magnolia trees here, too, near the hospital. I drive by them in the mornings on my way to work. I hate their short lifespan though... wish they lasted longer.

Hey Cindy,
The significance is not all that significant! In high school my nickname was "Wednesday" mostly because I wore mostly black and in some weird twisted way people then thought I looked like the Munster's daughter.
Green is now my color of choice. So in some philosophical way maybe it is the name for my metamorphosis. Mostly it's just the first thing that popped in my skull!
