Things NOT to say to your probation officer...

"I feel like such a criminal."

"I don't have a problem with drinking, I just lied about it cause my head is messed up."

"I shouldn't come later in the day anymore, you look like you don't want to hear it."

"I tried to hacksaw through my ankle bracelet." (yes, while it was attached to his leg)

"I don't think I need your permission to go to Jamaica."

"I didn't 'fail to report', I just missed it."

The water bottles and their carriers are still hanging on the back of the blue door in the kitchen. That is where we put them directly after the marathon, over two months ago. I hurt my knee during mile 26 and have been slowly working on it since. Not sure when I will be able to run long enough to need a water bottle strapped to my body, but yesterday I was excited that I ran 3 miles on the treadmill with no pain! I am still hopeful that my knee wobbliness was only due to overuse and no long term problem.

For now we are enjoying the extra time we have minus running crazy long distances. Today I brought 12 bags and 2 boxes to goodwill. We have to play catch-up around the house for time lost this summer. Church and other family business helps fill in the gaps. We are excitedly waiting for our nephew to be born in December and watching our niece grow into a crazy smiley girl.:) And I was also able to read my first book in several months, Into the Wild. Read it.

Headed into the holidays is always a good place to be. It is hard to say goodbye to November. I had many days off and now have to push through until Christmas Day, the only weekday off I have in December. Blah. The hours in a day seem so full when I am home. Full of so much more value than when I am at work. So I will be seriously annoying Abel every night with crafts and baking so I feel some spirit! There is the not-so-exciting update.
